Internationalism

Islington North Labour Party supports the core values of the Labour Party which include peace and internationalism.

Through affiliations, donations, demonstrations and public meetings we try to support the struggle for justice throughout the world.

For example, in 2007 we organized a public meeting at which speakers appeared on behalf of all four main political parties in Northern Ireland.

We celebrate the fact that people from all over the world live in London, bringing their experiences and culture to enrich the life of the city. Anyone can join the Labour Party, no matter where they are from.

You don't have to be a UK citizen to vote for us - if you live here and come from a Commonwealth country or European Union member state you can register to vote, and you can participate in local elections. EU citizens can also vote in European Parliament elections, and Irish or Commonwealth citizens can vote for a UK Parliamentary candidate.
