Highbury branches combine to mount street stall

April 26 2008

As part of the election campaign for the Greater London Assembly and Mayoralty, members of two local branches - Highbury East and Highbury West - mounted a combined operation at Highbury Barn.

The street stall was a focus for distributing leaflets in the area, and a chance to engage with local residents. Passers-by were also encouraged to sign the petition calling for a new Arsenal sports centre for local youth. This campaign is organized by highbury resident Ian Shacklock and supported by Jeremy Corbyn MP as well as local Labour Councillors.
