The Red Rose club has been sold to a new owner and will no longer be available as a venue for Party meetings and other events.
Together with MP Jeremy Corbyn and comrades from local trades unions, Party Officers investigated the possibility of acquiring the building for continued community use, but were unsuccessful.
Meetings are now being held in the Old Fire Station, Mayton Street.
